Description
Your phone charges to 100% every night — then sits there for 7+ hours at maximum voltage. That constant stress is the #1 cause of battery degradation. Chargie A stops the damage by physically cutting power at the level you choose.
Why Overnight Charging Kills Your Battery
Lithium-ion batteries degrade fastest when held at full charge. Every night your phone sits plugged in at 100%, the high voltage state accelerates chemical wear inside the cells — reducing capacity a little more each time.
After 12–18 months, most people notice their phone barely lasts half a day. After two years, battery health often drops below 80%. That means expensive repairs, lower resale value, or replacing a phone that’s otherwise perfectly fine.
Chargie A solves this at the hardware level — no root access, no software workarounds, no dependency on your phone’s operating system.
How It Works
- Connect — Plug Chargie A between your USB charger and your phone’s cable
- Set your limit — Choose any charge level (20–100%) in the Chargie app via Bluetooth
- Forget about it — Chargie physically stops current flow when your limit is reached, then resumes automatically when the battery drops below the threshold
Unlike software-only solutions, Chargie controls power flow externally. It works with every phone, every OS, every charger — including wireless charging pads.
Key Features
Gold-Plated Circuitry
The Gold Edition features gold-plated PCB traces and connectors that resist oxidation over time. This ensures reliable contact and maximum durability, even after years of daily plugging and unplugging.
Smart Charge Limiting
Set any charge limit between 20% and 100%. The app remembers your settings per device, so your home Chargie can charge to 80% while your car Chargie allows 90%.
Overnight Scheduler
Keep your phone at a safe 50–70% through the night, then automatically top up to full just before your alarm goes off. Best of both worlds — battery protection and a full charge in the morning.
Overtemperature Protection
Set a custom temperature threshold. If your phone gets too warm (common during summer or while navigating in a car), Chargie pauses charging until it cools down.
Multi-Location Auto-Connect
Place Chargies at home, work, and in your car. The app detects and connects to each one automatically — no manual pairing every time.
Hysteresis Charge Cycles
Instead of holding the battery at a fixed voltage, Chargie lets it drop a few percent before resuming. This mimics the gentle charge pattern that keeps lithium-ion cells healthy long-term.
USB Data Passthrough
Chargie maintains full USB data connectivity. Android Auto, CarPlay, tethering, and file transfers all work normally while your battery is being protected.

The Science
Battery manufacturers and EV companies have known this for years: keeping lithium-ion batteries between 20% and 80% dramatically extends their lifespan. According to Battery University, reducing the charge voltage from 4.20V (100%) to 4.10V (~80%) can double the number of charge cycles — from 300–500 up to 600–1,000+. Tesla recommends 80% for daily charging. Apple introduced Optimized Battery Charging for the same reason.
Chargie gives you that same protection for any phone — with more precise control and without relying on built-in software that varies by manufacturer.
Research from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) confirms that depth of discharge and state of charge are the primary factors in lithium-ion degradation. Limiting charge to 80% can extend battery cycle life by 2–4x — a phone that still holds a full day’s charge after 3–4 years, not just one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Chargie A work with my phone?
Yes. Chargie A works with any phone or tablet that charges via a USB-A cable — including iPhones (with a Lightning or USB-C to USB-A cable), Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and all other brands. It’s hardware-based, so it works regardless of your operating system.
Does Chargie slow down charging?
No. Chargie delivers the full power your charger provides until your set limit is reached. It then physically cuts power — it doesn’t throttle the charging speed. When you need a fast full charge, simply set the limit to 100%.
Do I need the app to use Chargie?
The app is needed for initial setup and to set your charge limit. Once configured, Chargie remembers your settings and works automatically — even if your phone is off or the app isn’t running. The hardware limiter mode works without any app at all.
Does Chargie work with wireless charging?
Yes. Plug your wireless charging pad through Chargie, and it will limit the charge level just like with a cable. Works with any Qi or Qi2 wireless charger.
Will Chargie maintain USB data connectivity?
Yes. Chargie A maintains full USB data passthrough. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB tethering, and file transfers all work normally while your battery is being protected.
What’s the difference between Chargie A and Chargie C?
Chargie A uses a USB-A connector and is designed for phones and tablets (up to 10W). Chargie C uses USB-C with Power Delivery support and handles up to 100W — suitable for laptops, tablets, and phones with USB-C charging. Both use the same app and offer the same battery protection features.
How long does Chargie last?
The Gold Edition features gold-plated PCB traces and connectors that resist oxidation, ensuring reliable performance for years of daily use. There are no consumable parts — Chargie is a solid-state device with no moving parts or batteries of its own.
What’s your return policy?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee with no questions asked. If Chargie doesn’t meet your expectations, contact us at [email protected] for a full refund.
Stop paying for battery replacements. Chargie A protects your phone’s battery at the hardware level — automatically, every night.

very good product. I love to see that my battery health stayed the same since I purchased the chargie. Only downside is I have to start the chargie app from time to time to make sure that it will manage the charging. otherwise ios is shutting down the app after several days of none opening.

Hello, you need to set the hardware limiter threshold to 3.5W so that charging stops at around 90% when not using the app.
